Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
That would be way cool, we'll definitely have to plan out something in the future so we can all hang out and record.

^We seriously have to get to crackin' then. I say we work as we were and then vote on the best cover and send that in.

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
Or every team works really fucking hard on their cover and we send all of them in (but a person can't be in two entries). Also, it's really interesting that they want the winners to clearly appear in the videos. Craziness there.

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
Yea, increase IM's chances of winning by entering all of them! I'm sure we can come up with some interesting ways in getting all involved parties in each video. I didn't see that two band members rule though at first. I think that should be the last thing to worry about though. I'm sure there's going to be a lot of entrants with a lot of good bands, so we should just worry about making a good product. I just wish I was better at guitar so i could contribute more than a voice.

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
I'm with Sheer on this one. I mean, the deadline is giving us quite some time to put together something great. And it's even better since we had an ironic head start xD So I expect IM to dominate the top twenty

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
Keep in mind that most of the Japanese entries will probably be with groups in the same room, rather than trying to coordinate/mix/edit online.
Mare and I are taking Tonight. That'll be our submission. We've got history with that song. It's our payment for the pillows playing it for us at the Kyoto Muse in 2007.
Oh, super cool moment: Sawao brought out his nice semi-hollowbody (I think) Taylor, and Alan asked in Japanese “Will you play Tonight?” “Tonight, huh?…” AND THEY PLAYED IT. It really did sound better than the original in 1994. Shin had his brushes for the drums, and everything sounded beautiful. All of the Japanese busters and me and Alan: “Toniiight! Toniii-hi-hi-hi-hi-hi-hiiiight! I wanna keep on smiling…oh yeah, oh yeah, oh ho-ho yeah…yeah” Apparently they were just going to play Boat House, but thanks to Alan, they played half of Tonight as well. After that, all of the girls near him turned and were like: “Good boy!” “Good job!” “Champion!” in English.
As an exception, I think no one should have a problem if we just sign you two up for Tonight, bypassing the sign-up procedure. You may want to recruit a bassist and a drummer (or sequencer), and I'm sure someone will be willing to help.

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
Anyone want to do a cover with me? I'd go for Like a Lovesong, or One life, maybe even Hybrid Rainbow, I'll do vocals too!
I can definitely procure a good camera too. In fact, how about this: Brye, you live pretty close by, so do you want to do a cover?

If you have patience, I'd do it

Grey has and can play bass, I can work on sequencing out the drums somehow. I think we're looking at doing this as a 2-man project desu.

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
I'd like to be in a cover group, but be aware that I don't have an amp that can do any distortion or effect pedals, I'll probably want to do the song acoustically [which shouldn't be a problem since I'd probably just be doing rhythm.]
If anyone is interested let me know.
