Which sucks because I'm missing Spiritualized @ Radio City doing "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space" all the way through.

Pavement was so, so good. It feels weird saying this, but they probably rocked a bit harder than the pillows did at Pomona.

Can't remember the last show I went to. I work my @ss off and never get to go anywhere...BUT I AM GOING TO SEE BORIS IN AUGUST.

I just got Flaming Lips tickets!

Just got back from seeing Shinobu at the Bottom of the Hill in SF, met a forum lurker there lol. Shinobu rocked solidly and hard.

Pixies are coming to my state.

On Saturday I was the Lowertown Music Fest which included six acts, featuring Cloud Cult and Mason Jennings. It was some good stuff.

I didn't mention this, but:
Saw Boris. Met Boris and Kurihara. Got their autographs, got pics with them. BORIS fan forever.
And ever. BORIS - listen to get high without drugs or just to get higher.
Front row the whole show, amps so loud they blew my jeans against my legs. Awesome show, awesome performers, powerful music. YT vids cannot give away half the experience.
Live, onstage, in your face greatness - this is the power of rock and roll.

P.S. Yaro have you already seen Flaming Lips? Result/review?

Yes! I would rank their show in one of the better ones I've ever been to, it was a lot of fun. The feeling of holding up Wayne in a bubble while he's standing is so great. Everything I've heard about their theatrics lived up to what they did, what with the confetti guns and balloons and use of light and all the silly stuff they have. Very fun!

I also saw the Arcade Fire last week, which turned out to be a lot better than I was expecting from them.

Understatement, but yes I did, and then some. I love their music and it was quite the show(s). (Got to see them twice.) I'd go see them again anytime and highly recommend that anybody do the same! But make sure to bring earplugs or you will lose your hearing.
They toured with Red Sparowes, who were good, but not supergood...if that's a rating.

Is "better than I was expecting" good, or just mediocre?

Is Boris still touring with Michio Kurihara? I'd love a chance to hear his towering guitar insanity live.
