BIG NEWS:
I just wrote to Tofu Records; and they said that they're planning on releasing an Asian Kung-Fu Generation album here in the states this fall (probably their latest).

thats pretty cool.
also, AKFG kicks blink 182's ass any day. I don't really think they sound alike at all.

i recommend haruka kanata for a first listen. That's the only album i'd recommend.

AKFG is at a tie for the second favorite band slot for me (tied with Janne Da Arc) ((first is obviously the pillows))
I had a majority of their songs, but didn't give them a listen until after I saw one of the last ending theme songs in Full Metal Alchemist. Then I was hooked.
I agree though, that they do not sound anything like Blink 182.

New single, Blue Train. It's radio quality though, but it sounds real good. Awesome drumming by Kiyoshi as usual.

I only started listening to them recently. Their stuff tends to sort of blur together a bit, but I like their sound just fine.

"Last Scene": there is no real song out there to compare to this awesome tune!
Sol-fa is a great album! I love it.
WHOA!!! "Blue Train" is awesome! It's like the Strokes and Franz Ferdinand rolled into one tight and neat package!

Damn Blue Train is good. Thanks Josher. When I heard the preview clip for it I thought it was just going to be bland pop-rock song. Wow, was that clip deceptive. I really love the drumming and the interaction between the guitars. AKG just seems to get better and better.

They are ok. Kinda something that kids in the OC would listen to.
