Is this old news? I just discovered this today.

I'm glad they finally came out with a full-length album. The title track was pretty awesome I thought. Some of the songs were a bit bland, but overall the record is pretty rocking. Hikizaru Beat still kicks major ass too.

Did the guitar slut leave the band? The Japanese website's band profile only features the bassist and the drummer..?

Wow, I thought this news was already on IM. Yeah. She was suffering massive panic attacks before shows and I guess she felt like she couldn't continue on. So MOTFD currently has no guitarist. :/. Coincidentally, I am wearing my Mass of the Fermenting Dregs shirt right now. hellll yeah.

I've been way behind with the news of this band. Somehow I didn't find out about their latest album until last week, and it's over a year old.

These guys are really not that interesting to me. A few really good songs, a bunch of better-than-average-at-best ones. Who the fuck thinks they're legitimately a "successor" to NG?

I don't think anyone thought they were a successor to NG, but I could definitely make the case for "Fans of NG would like..."

I recall a lot of people hyping them up as some sort of spiritual successor to NG or whatever on jmr and elsewhere. It was retarded. I could definitely see that the aggressive rock style might be appreciated by fans of NG, but NG fans probably want more from their rock (I would hope) than most of what MOTFD gives.
