Yngwie's tone is the shit. Rising Force is amazing. There like isn't distortion, but there is. It's soooooo good. It doesn't sound like hard metal shit like his new stuff. No album can beat Rising Force. The drums sound all shitty and stuff but that's why it's so good. Bass = stupid. At least in excess. All the new bands that tune a half step down and then drop C# (I think) sound stupid. Like every note trades off with the low C#. Yngwie tunes to E flat, but you like can't tell. And it still makes me horny. Yngwie could tune four full steps down and still give me a chubby.
Edit: Don't ever say Yngwie isn't origional or people will kill you. Me included. If anybody isn't origional it's the blues people.

Ygnwie's nothing. Michael Angelo Batio is faster anyway, and he plays on two necks at once.

Yngwie isn't good just because he's fast. He could play what he does slow and it would still kick ass.
It's good because he blends melody with shred perfectly. Rising Force is his best example of that. His new stuff kind of sucks, I think. It all starts sounding the same, song after song. But RF is unbelievably good.
Straight shred is interesting for about 2 minutes then it gets old. RF doesn't get old.

No, but my dad was telling me about him when i was looking at his strat in musicians friend.
He said it's more bluesy than other solo artists like satriani and stuff. And we all know what i think of blues. I havn't heard him though, so i couldn't say.

btw, i did see eric johnson's strat in MF. i found it quite funny how the custom shop had to make 19 different pickups before johnson got the ones he wanted.

Amazing guitar work. Ah Via Musicom is pretty good too. Has he released other albums?
