Honestly, I can completely see the appeal of shred. I don't care for it at all, but I can respect it. Especially since it's so God damned hard. However, Yngwie Malmsteen is just... too much. Too fucking much. I can't stand him.

I saw G3 last year when they went to Boston, my third G3... Gilbert and Satch were godly. Petrucci's solo stuff (with Glascow Kiss being an exception) lacks melody, so I prefer his Dream Theater stuff. Paul's my biggest idol.
