Umm, I thought Green Album was pretty decent, the only problem is most of the songs sound pretty much the same. Photograph was ftw.
Maladroit was.. ok.. but Burnt Jamb was a KICKASS song. The highlight of the album.
I haven't heard all of Make Believe, but from the three singles.. yeah.. the only decent one is Perfect Situation.. that's like 7/10.
Rolling Stone’s original two-and-a-half-star review of Pinkerton had it pegged: some catchy tunes, boundless clichéd “why doesn’t she like me” lyrics, and not a lot of substance. The fact that this review was later amended to five stars speaks more of Rolling Stone’s total lack of critical integrity than for any meaningful reevaluation of Weezer’s work; at the merest hint that the winds of public opinion blew in a more Pinkerton-friendly direction, Rolling Stone caved in to popular consensus (as they so often do).
Well, I think Pinkerton's the best thing they've ever done, really. But to each their own, I guess.

There was a fantastic drop off in quality from Pinkerton to Green. As painfully cliche as some of the lyrics on Pinkerton were, at least they sounded like they had some sort of actual feeling behind them. Green was a lifeless sham of a pop record. Maladroit was barely interesting. Make Believe was just offensive to the ears.

and yes, weezer is pretty good espite not having stong content.

I tried really hard to like Weezer, but they just end up boring. It also bothers me that they play with way too much distortion for their style of music. And all of their songs I've heard from Blue Album and Pinkerton seem "darker" and less upbeat than it seems like they should. Maybe I'm just going hard on them because they supposedly influenced the pillows. I just don't see it.

lol there liek a japaneses weezer ^_^

Cuomo is a very talented guitarist. Just knowing he plays some lead parts, sings, and solos at the same time in the Blue-Pink era impresses me, even if they're a continuous rythym of eighth notes. If you buy one of their tab books, you'd see what I mean.

What I don't understand is why he wasted all that talent and blew it off from Green to Make Believe. :| At least they broke up.

Yea, there's some stuff on weezer.com including a message from Rivers. I think the album is supposed to come out sometime in the spring. Who knows if it'll be good or not, but going of of that leaked demo, Pig, I'm anticipating to see what they come out with. As long as it's better than Make Beleive, I'll be fine.

Maybe they had regrets about going out on a shitty album like Make Believe. :P

Hey guys if you go to weezer.com you'll hear their new single "pork and beans". It's pretty good imo. I'm so looking for their new album. 8)

I found it enjoyable. I like how the lyrics reflect how Rivers feels about how he was told to make the new album more "commercial". The song itself sounds like some of their past work which is awesome.

Ugggh, the lyrics just annoyed the hell out of me. The music and the melody were pretty good, but Jesus. It sounds like a really crappy rap song, lyrically. It's just completely meh.
