I've been a Ted Leo fan for a few years. I haven't been to one of his live shows yet, but I hear they are meant to be really good.

I know this is crazy old, but I really love Shake The Sheets. Angels' Share wins so ridiculously hard. I saw them on Conan last year, and they played Little Dawn. I thought the repeated "it's alright" went on for a while live, but shit, on the album, it goes on for like a minute and a half! Somehow though, it's not annoying.

Ted is one of the few 'true' indie artists.
He's touring all over right now, tickets are around $10 unless you get the
show where he is opening for Death Cab for Cutie.
I'm going to see him in Jacksonville Nov. 22.

Eh, I'd like too, but according to google maps, the closest show is 7 1/2 hours away in Virginia, with no family near by to rest for free at. If they swing a bit closer to PA someday, I'll give it a shot. If they booked the Bryce Jordan Center, I'd be all over that!
Have a great time.

It's actually pretty fantastic. Only one song I don't dig so much ("Colleen") and the rest is pure gravy.

I downloaded The Tyranny of Distance and I love it. I really wish I had started listening to Ted Leo earlier because then I would have gone to his show this past Sunday in SF.

Yeah, The Tyranny Of Distance, Hearts of Oak, and Shake The Sheets are
all excellent albums. Living with the Living pales in comparison.

I finally checked out Ted Leo recently, despite Culen's constant fussing about how great he was, and I ended up really liking Tyranny of Distance, Hearts of Oak, and Shake the Sheets. Haven't heard the new one yet. Why did nobody tell me he was such a great guitarist?!

If that's what floats your boat... he's a great guitarist

I thought I was the one pushing Ted Leo around here?
I prefer his songwriting/lyrics to his guitar playing, but it's all
quite good.
