I've said it once, and I'll say it again, but I really don't like AKG much.

Sorry to hear that, but you don't need to continue saying so if you've already posted in this thread saying you don't like them. You don't see the rest of us posting repeatedly about how much we dislike a band if we don't like them; you say it once if you feel like saying it, explain yourself maybe if asked, and then just ignore that band and the discussion pertaining to them.

agreed.

though you don't see us going into a thread about a band you like and saying "<band xyz> sucks terribly" over and over again.

My favorite songs by them are Blue Train (from Funclub) and the single, After Dark.

I enjoyed World World World a lot. The whole album flowed very well the and the intro was a nice addition.

Drugs?

In any case, World World World wasn't as good as Sol-fa, but it was a lot better than Fanclub (which had several great songs, but just didn't flow well at all, and was a huge disappointment after kimi tsunagi and Sol-fa.

I agree that Fanclub didn't flow well, and that Sol-fa is a better album. World World World is OK, but my favorite songs are on Fanclub.

The way I know Fanclub isn't put together well is because I get plain bored while listening to the album, and even my favorite songs off the album start to sound boring if I listen to the entire album in succession. That said, Blue Train OWNS.

Also, After Dark is AWESOME. I love the guitar work in that work. I just wish that AKFG expanded on their solos (or maybe I don't... I don't know what I want!!! :dizzy: ).

Blue Train is an AMAZING song, it's just absolutely brilliant. I have to agree with you there. AKG releases really really solid singles, but for some reason, they just didn't do as good a job as they normally do with the other songs on that album. Not a TERRIBLE album, but nothing to write home about either.

World World World is a return to form, and hopefully things will only get better from here.

Agreed, after Fanclub the singles kind of hit a slump with me, I just couldn't get into them (this was before "After Dark" and "Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu"). But the reason I feel the album has a good flow is they just really hit a great groove with the songs almost like a concept album.

You have the Intro (World World World) which is like your overture then it goes right into After Dark. Then it goes into Tabidatsu Kimi e and Neoteny and thats pretty much like end scene 1 right there. Travelog and No. 9 feel a bit fillerish to me but then it picks up again with essentially scene 2 with Night Diving through Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu. Finally World World and Aru Machi no Gunjou have a feel like it's an intermission before the final scene (Atarashii Sekai).

I can't imagine how many times I've listened to Blue Train or watched the PV. Great, great song.

I should really pick up World x3, especially if it's kind of a return to their older stuff.

I could upload/send via AIM if you want. It's not as good as Sol-fa, but is much better than Fanclub.

I actually grabbed the cd in FLAC when I was at work (campus internet kicks so much ass), but thanks.

Listened to the first few tracks, like it a lot so far.

I love these guys, but I still gotta say Sol-Fa is my favorite. It's the TYMT of Asian Kung-Fu Generation in my opinion. (A masterpiece)
