fucking sellouts. they were never commited to the cause. malcom mclauren heard the ramones (which are not punk either, even though they are the ones who "started" it) and he cashed in on "punk" with the sex pistols. i know what real punk is. i am not a punk. i wasn't there. but i know what real punk is. the scene, the music and the idea. those guys never took action. they only preached anarchy but they never lived it out. not like Crass. Crass is true punk/anarchy. and they don't need to have safety pins or raggy clothing to prove it. they were the original anarchist band. they took action. they lived out what they sang in their songs. they were DIY. they made their own record label and had tons of bands under it. Conflict, Dirt, Flux of Pink Indians, just to name a few of the better recognized punk bands from back in the day. go and research Crass and then tell me who is real punk.
