Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
GH, you are awesome!
It would be so amazing if we could incorporate the "Kore wa kimi no uta" like the audience did.
If we could get like a lovesong down, GH and myself will do rhythm and lead. I love that song!

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
Actually I have no problems singing Like a Lovesong as is. If you want to play it in a lower key thats fine but I'm okay with singing it either way.

If you would actually read up on the other thread where suggestions are occurring, Saturday or Sunday.
I posted this before you posted that.
That's funny, the post in the other thread where I said that was timestamped at 7:54 pm, and your post in this thread that I commented on was timestamped at 8:57 pm. Sounds like somebody doesn't know what the fuck they're talking about. The best part is that the next post in the other thread after I announced that was one by you.
Then I'm just confused, scratch that please.

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
BUT ANYWAY, I JUST REMEMBERED SOMETHING AWESOME WE COULD DO. Remember how I mentioned how it'd be really cool if the other people in the group did the "yeah yeahs"?
Sawao: Kotoba ni wa shinai Kanjou wo tsumekonde Soko ni iru MAI FURENDO ::INSTRUMENTS CUT:: Audience: Kore wa kimi no uta (This is your song) ::CONTINUE::
It's really really...dare I say, ADORABLE. It sums up what being a hardcore pillows fan is all about. It's everything. It's awesome. I say if we do Like a Lovesong, we have to incorporate this somehow.
This is a really good idea...BUT.
If we did both the "yeah yeah" and "Kore wa kimi no uta", they'd both lose some magnitude.
I think the "Kore wa kimi no uta" part is so much more cooler than the "yeah yeah", not that I have anything against it, just a thought.
And what about the "back to back" parts? Sawao doesn't sing on those parts.

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
That is a good idea to throw out there. My only thing is this, if everybody is going to do one thing, it has to be that one thing that ONLY OCCURS ONCE. I'd go for kore wa kimi no uta, but the yeah yeahs are best left up to 2 to 3 people, and same with the back to back's, 2 people.
Overall, cool ideas, I'm on board.

I was probably thinking about the Back to Backs. Definitely need the backing Back to Backs. Singer goes solo on the yeahs. Kimi no uta + backs? or just uta? or just backs?

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
I say both. This is a great idea, incorporating other Busters for the Back to backs and the Kore wa part just makes my heart warm up. Great idea GR!

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
I think it would be cool if you alternated the Back-to-backs like this:
Vocals: Saisho de saigo no Guitar: Back to back! Vocals: Kore wa PUREZENTO Bass: Back to back! Vocals: Ima wa dare yori mo Drums: Back to back! Vocals: Chikaku ni kanjiteru'n da Drums: Back to back! Vocals: Kimi no hoshii mono Bass: Back to back! Vocals: Boku ga motteita to shite Guitar: Back to back! Hourinageru kara Everyone: Back to back! Umaku uketomete Everyone: To the back!(?)
Also, the Kimi part is godly, don't change that.

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
^
That might sound awkward to present that many different singular voices. The back to backs... I think it'd be best if two people sing "back to back" together and the vocalist jumps in to sing the yeah yeahs with them. That seems like the most natural way to get the bases covered.
And the big crowd interaction with the instrument break... I think you are going to need a physical group of people together to sing it. I don't know if editing together a bunch of people singing that line by themselves is going to produce a desireable result. We want it to sound like a crowd singing, right? Then we need a crowd. I'll keep it in mind and ask the actress for my movie when I see her next.

Re: Beautiful Picture Idea
^That would be a bit trickier though, both for the obvious reason (getting the people together) and because you have to record it just right since you don't want to overload the camera or mic and lose clarity and you need to find a proper room that won't add too much reverb to the voices so they don't lose clarity that way as well. But if you know how you're going to do it then by all means give it a shot. Anyways if I sing Like a Lovesong I'm fine with people singing the "back to back" parts (kinda figured thats what we were going to do anyways).
Or just have everyone in IM record themselves saying Kimi etc etc No idea, this is getting confusing XD
http://www.mediafire.com/?t2znmwgmmzo This is what it sounds like when you stack clips. It peaks more and more and starts to distort with every clip. LOL drumming like a maniac! http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=4395a44cb64ebcfcd2db6fb9a8902bda If you add another channel, you have to turn the volume down on one of them to keep the whole from peaking (overloading). You could probably do it for a couple people (the back to backs could work, just turn the volume down a bit on one of them) but the big "kore wa etc." needs a crowd of people recorded in one take. I'll ask my film teacher how the best way to get that sound could be achieved. I think the best end product to any of the songs you guys decide to make would have to stick to this procedure list: Pre-production: -Concrete song list -Many tabbers tabbing tabs -Assign members to songs Production: 1. Record your best audio take. Use your best device for recording music, not necessarily your camcorder. 2. Send all clips someone with editing software. Clips are compiled and adjusted for best quality. (volume up, down, synch fixes, etc.) Final recorded audio is completed. 3. Record your best video take. This will be for the visual. (This is the part where Keitaro puts a shirt on. ) If you are using a camcorder for your audio take and it turns out amazing then by all means skip this step, but I'm assuming there are much better results that could be achieved from other recording methods. 4. Send all clips to the editor. Clips are arranged, transitions added, video is synched to the final recorded audio. Post Production: 5. Titling credits and final tweaks. 6. Create video file and post upload link.
