It's like seeing a kid that thinks 52 times 12 is "a lot." You don't know better now, but someday, when you're older, things will work out.

And if you really think an album called "Raditude" with a flying dog on the cover is going to be good, you're living in bogusland. [/quote] Naaaaaaah.

 Re: Weezer
At least the first two Weezer albums are good. Kyle is being silly, and we ought to lol @ him.

LOL
And Raditude doesn't suck for the most part because of the cover or the title; it's because the music isn't as good as it used to be. But yes, Supercar's first album is fucking amazing. I've already turned a couple Weezer fans on to them who don't normally listen to Japanese music.

I didn't like Weezer at first, I didn't like their lyrics. But... they've grown... on... me...

 Re: Weezer
Weezer has some pretty lame-ass, downright stupid lyrics now.

 Re: Weezer
Weezer has taken a fall since their earlier days, but that doesn't stop me from liking them. As with many other groups, I just won't listen to what I don't like and continue to enjoy what I do. It's that easy. I haven't heard Raditude yet, but there's going to be some good, and some bad. And it won't beat their earlier stuff, ever.

What if I like both Weezer and Supercar? Does that make me twice as cool?

The mood of the melody is a little cliche (very very upbeat) but goddamn! It sounds loads better than just about everything that was on Raditude. However it's a contest so lets hope none of the fans fuck it up and make it end up sounding something similar to the shit tracks that were on Raditude or else odds are pretty likely Weezer will pick that over other entries.

 Re: Weezer
Yea, the song is called "Shusui", and apparently he wrote this with another Japanese music producer. He already picked a winner though, the guy's name is barak, and it's not that good. But what's really interesting is what Rivers said. He said this song will be on his upcoming Japanese language solo album. Things just got a lot more interesting I think. Maybe if he's still stuck in this collaborative phase, he can call up Sawao.

Not to mention it still sounds a lot better than some of the Raditude tracks. It's interesting he'll be doing a Japanese solo album, if he could call up not just Sawao but Gotoh as well it'd be pretty awesome.

 Re: Weezer
Even if it is I still wouldn't be surprised if he did end up collaborating with at least Gotoh on that album.

 Re: Weezer
Yea, that's true. Don't forget, AKFG toured with Weezer in Japan in 2008. It'll be real interesting to see what Rivers comes up with for this album. Should be a good year for Weezer fans. You got Pinkerton Deluxe Edition, Odds and Ends, and now this new Japanese solo album. Maybe we'll see Alone III come out next year too.
