Re: Blink 182
I get shit for it all the time, but Blink-182 is one of the bands from my Jr. high/high school days that I still listen to once in a while. I definitely think that they're a really talented group of musicians, and I would especially love to see stuff off of their last album played live, but I'm not sure if I'll be seeing them this summer.

Re: Blink 182
I don't like them... but to be fair, I've only heard like five songs, so that's not really fair.
Well, I don't like what I've heard of them.

Re: Blink 182
Try out "Always," "Here's Your Letter," and "Stay Together for the Kids." Those three songs are pretty good to showcase their serious side with varying levels of pop-ness.

Yeah, they're also coming out with a new cd. I'm really interested in hearing it. Lol I wanted to go to the summer concert, but it's 70 bucks!

Re: Blink 182
I respect Blink 182, but I never really liked them. My friends were big fans, so I'd always hear their albums blaring, and thought they were just an average band. Some of their songs became pretty iconic though.

I don't really like or respect (of course, it doesn't seem like they aim to be respected) them, but they aren't terrible, I guess. If I had to, I would even learn one of their songs to play in a band.

Re: Blink 182
See, after being exposed to the tastiness that is the pillows, Blink doesn't really come up as a great band. They've got really catchy tunes (Dammit, First Date, Always, etc.) but there's something missing from them. Maybe it's maturity? Still, I like them. They're good.

But anyway, my favorite Blink 182 song is Adam's Song.

Re: Blink 182
Blink is great. All of their songs are just so catchy. Mark is my favorite, his parts are always my favorite. Top songs for me are Stay Together For the Kids, Feeling This, First Date, Miss You, and Down.

Re: Blink 182
New song came out yesterday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72BE-j1iNcwPeople have been saying that it's GREAT AND AWESOME. But I can't feel it. I don't heart 'blink 182' i hear more 'Angels and Airwaves' I've been replaying this song for a while. Not because I like it. But because I'm waiting for it to grow on me. The song all together sound like it was squished together and badly mixed. Do i also hear some autotune? I don't know. The last album was GREAT. This just sound 'meh' I'm a huge blink 182 fan. They are on my top 3 fave bands of all time. But this song is just 'meh'

Re: Blink 182
There's definitely auto-tune, but that's nothing new, lol. It's used as a pitch correction tool almost across the board regardless of if they also use it for effect or not. The main riff is lame and doesn't fit at all with the verse, which feels very Blink. Unfortunately, the effects/production on Mark's voice is awful, it hardly even sounds like him singing (I'm with you that this might be autotune related, Metal, it has that weird lift to some of the notes). We'll see how the album turns out, the song isn't bad, but it's not what I would have expected as a lead single from one of my favorite pop rock bands, it's bad news when the verse is by far the strongest part of the song.
