Oasis
I am surprised that there is not an existing topic about them. I recently started listening to them again a few days ago and I happened to notice something. I was listening to "Don't Look Back in Anger" earlier today and was thinking that there was something awfully similar about this song and the pillows, so I downloaded the tabs. Lo and behold they are nearly the exact same chords as "One Life," which came out a year after Oasis' song. Coincidence? Prolly not, but either way, both songs are equally great.

I really hate that song. I just think the lyrics are terrible.
I am willing to bet Yamanaka copied that song.
This was posted on Mole Town, but if you haven't heard, Wonderful Sight = Ripcord by Radiohead.

Well, I don't think Sawao copies anything, I just think they're inspired by it. I like Oasis, or what I've heard. Hey, call me crazy, but Wonderwall kinda sounds like Beautiful Picture.

I heard Oasis sued Green Day because The Boulevard of Broken Dreams sounds like Wonderwall. They said Billie Joe copied the "arrangement". How stupid is that?

I will bet 1,000 USD that "One Life" has nothing to do with this song.

Just like the first half of the solo in N.G.S. by Asian Kung Fu generation is the EXACT same solo as the first half of Live Forever by Oasis

From what I've heard, Oasis is a band of bastards, but they're kinda good to me. Man, if they heard One Life or Beautiful Picture or anything from that era for that matter, they'd sue the pillows for all their worth. Yes, I'm saying those songs both sound similar to an Oasis song.

So that's why they're famous.
BTW what song by The Beatles are we talking about here?

One Life's chord progression is almost exactly the same as a Beatles chord progression, though I forgot which one. My point is OH GOD CHORD PROGRESSIONS, RIPOFF, OH GOD OH NOES.
