You guys are gonna wanna watch out when it comes to the Lace Sensors. Is no-noise really what you're after? For MyFoot it might be, but itaffy? No-noise seems to take away some of the "rawness" when playing guitar. Also, many critics of the Lace Sensors have criticized them for being sterile sounding. Just something to keep in mind.

Really? I've read mostly all positive reviews.

I take reviews with a grain of salt anyway. I refer to clips mostly.

Meh, true. Best example I would give for big Lace tone would be Jonny Greenwood, he pushes his dirty lead stuff through a solid state (Fender 85) and pushes that through super overdrive type pedals, sure it's very processed at that point but I doubt the same tone would be achievable without the dually red humbucker he has in the bridge (and some of his playing skill). However his cleans are usually ran pretty dry besides his chorus/delay/echo/and tremolo effects to modulate it (the tone remains unaltered though bear in mind) and also to note I've heard he only uses his dually-red humbucker even though he has a tele-sized blue in the neck, but take that with a grain of salt as I've yet to confirm that. But anyways thought I'd throw that out there for consideration.

I'm still pretty undecided...I deffinately want a Lace, but I think I narrowed it down to light blue or silver.

Are there any single coil pickups that can handle distortion as well as say, a JB?

I would imagine it to have extremely high gain. Can anyone clarify that for me?

Seymour Duncan Hot Rails. It's a single coil sized humbucker. Distorts like a champ, but I think you sacrifice juicy clean tones as a result.

Look into the lace sensor Red. There's the SD lil' 59 and the small JB like Manabe uses too. Those aren't SC's, but the same size, so I can't imsgine a problem with them.

Did you ever decide on a fuzz?

I think I forgot to mention that I didn't want any single coil sized humbuckers. Just plain single coils.

As for the fuzz, I'm still looking into it, but I think I'm going to go with the 33.

THat's cool.

Why, may I ask, would it matter? If you want a SC that takes distortion like a humbucker, why not get a mini humbicker? And even better, a mini version of what you wanted?

Unless of course (and this just occured to me), you want it for the neck...if that's the case, your going to want to base one on the other, and not ahve a very different difference in resistance than the stock pups. If you get like a 6.0k neck sc and a 17.1k humbucker, there is going to be a significant volume difference.
