Hence his favorite band.

Yeah it's a "gothic-punk" Playboy of sorts. I don't know how TsuShi and them ever got together in the first place.

See, I was just making a joke based on what I assumed to be a coincidence. Now it's just disturbing, isn't it.

No, not really. I've seen the site, and the girls aren't all that attractive.

Back-to-topic: I wonder when they'll be releasing "no-miso shortcake" in the States. Granted it's mostly reworkings of some of their demos, but it's still a really good CD.

To sheer:

Not really, I knew a girl who wanted to shoot for Suicide Girls. I don't think SG is so far under the rug that people who aren't exposed to that culture wouldn't have a good chance of knowing what it is. It's coincidental that I know what it is, as well. Nothing disturbing at all. :)

But about the band, well...

I once tuned in to a local channel, and they were playing a concert promo, can't remember what it was called (PENNSYLVANIA UNDERGROUND I think), and showing performances of countless HARDCORE FUCKING KILL YOUR MOTHER *COOKIE MONSTER GROWLLLLLLL* bands. It was funny watching the VJs hyping each song from each different artist, as each song sounded like a storm of car crashes looping endlessly for four minutes.

I think this band is better than that, at least. If I were there, I would likely enjoy it, but certainly wouldn't be getting into it.

Oh, well, since the girls are ugly, that changes everything. I must no longer have a point.

And if you're looking for an aspiring porn star (although an ugly one, apparently), Cloudy will hook you up. 8)

Tough luck, Jamie is married. And dead, apparently, according to her myspace.

She wrote "The Tragedy of 1986" in my yearbook. OH, YOU GOTHS...

Heh, I checked out my friends Ahimsa Sunrise's myspace since I was on there, and even though it may be the genre I just mocked, damn, I'm proud of them, IMO, for not completely sucking playing that type of music. I'm the type of person that is too honest... Like, if I didn't like it after hearing it for the first time, I'd tell them exactly where I thought it sucked, as opposed to a liked it/didn't like it response.

I'm thinking of seeing them on the 5th. Their live shows sound really great and close to the CD recordings. I wish they still had that badass live of one of their new songs on the page, that was great promotional footage for them. I want their new ep. :)

I give hardcore a try every now and then. On youtube, someone had an "IMO best hardcore/screamo bands" video, and as I was watching, I was like, "hmm, hey, this isn't bad, the vocalist is good, there's a nice melody backing the noise," but then the next fucking band came on and just completely shitted up the whole thing. God damn.

When it comes to that mic smell kung kung song, I don't know, it pretty much fell over the line of "funny song" and into the realm of "Making asses of ourselves."

If you're gonna be loud and obnoxious, at least be truly hardcore and cool about it, like Afrirampo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fLB7T6XIZQ

1:23-> for the win.
Afrirampo RSRF 2005
YES, I CALLED IT IRL! :o

When I was writing the previous post, I thought, "I should link to that Afrirampo performance..." But I figured Rhino would do it; so I wanted to see if it would happen. ^_^

That lady looks absolutely demented. That performance is great when they freakout and the audience reacts to the tension, and then BAM, right into an awesome rock groove.
