Sure he's a good guitarist - he plays some sort of sweet solo in one or two of the songs from near the beginning of (the album) Hearts of Oak, on High Party and I'm A Ghost, if I remember right.
He's a good lyricist, I guess, but I care more about the vocal melody than whatever sociopolitical stuff he likes to ramble about. I rarely care about lyrics, anyway. Blasphemy, I know.

I actually caught his appearance on that show yesterday. Those dudes are actually funny, unlike the multitude of shitty shows on the Music Television network.
