You can't really trust everything you read in a music interview/mag,
especially The NME.

I don't doubt Frank is working on a new album, but working on
a new album and actually releasing it are two very different things.

I voted Bossanova. It would have gone to Surfer Rosa but I really miss Joey's lead parts on the songs such as Ana, Down to the Well, and Blown Away.

During this time, Santiago travelled to the Grand Canyon to "find himself", and Lovering jetted off to Jamaica. Francis bought a yellow Cadillac and crossed America with his girlfriend, and while doing so performed solo gigs in order to raise money for furniture in his new Los Angeles apartment. Deal formed a new band, The Breeders (named after a band she had formed with her sister as a teenager) with Tanya Donelly of Throwing Muses and bassist Josephine Wiggs of Perfect Disaster. How can you top Bone Machine lyrically? IT'S JUST NOT POSSIBLE.

Doolittle has been my favorite for the past 20 years and that is never going to change. Surfer Rosa is a close second.

Death to The Pixies is also reccomended. You get a taste of everything on one disc and a nice little live concert on the other.

Anyway, like Sclone said, I'll believe it when I see it.
