Post All Apologies (J-Rock does Nirvana)
A Nirvana tribute by a bunch of (mostly indie, I think) Japanese Rock bands.

Haven't really listened to most of it yet. Lunkhead's vocalist (does the title track) seems to have a decent Kurt thing going. However, Why. Did. Nobody. Call. Sawao? Onsoku Line's vocalist (Breed) could have used some Engrish lessons to boot. His voice is kinda hidden in the mixing, though it seems almost intentional since it's not too powerful as far as the lyrics themselves go.

I dunno. I'll prolly leave a few more comments once I listen to the whole thing through.

Edit: Hm. I'll mention it because I definately know somebody here has a Detroit7 sig. Their Rape Me cover sounds pretty good... And at first, it sounded like their vocalist had a rather terrifying case of engrish, but she seems to be growing on me a bit... (though, of course, that doesn't change her terrible case of engrish in the parts where lyrics call for more talking than singing ^^; ).

Hm. Seems to be the opinion I've reached. Eh, low bitrate, so only 35mb, still was worth checking out at least, and I know there a lot more people around here that are bigger on J-Indie bands than I am.

i have a higher bitrate version somewhere. but the album is really not worth it... most tribute albums, in general, aren't.

did they use the original instrumentation for very ape or did they just mimic the sound really really well? in any case, the different vocals with similar instrumentation made it fail.

smells like teen spirit: cool.
molly's lips: i love this song too much to dislike this cover.
