I fell in love with her the first time I saw her perform on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Her unique playing style with the guitar (often treating it like a percussion instrument) is only part of the equation that makes her a serious musical talent. She can evoke genuine emotion and meaning with instrumentals. The way that's mostly associated with an instrument like a violin.

Both her albums are great and truly show her skills as a writer. The pacing is great and the sounds she can emit with the guitar are so varied. What gets me most excited is her potential. At the age of 25 she can already play the guitar better than most people can dream of, but there is a feeling that she is nowhere near her limit.

Some of my favorite songs are: Carmine St., Ingots, and Doing the Wrong. Some of her song titles can be long.

I saw her on Conan awhile back.

She was good, eventhough I am not a big fan of double tapping on

acoustic guitars.

Yes, yes, and yes.

She's tiny. And I knew I wasn't the only one to find her cute. I missed the chance to see her play at the Knitting Factory in NY.
