I bought the cd after hearing Arthur's Car.
Their stuff is actually hard as hell to find on slsk, but i bought it off of half.com for five bucks. Great album.

I think the most important component of shoegaze is the vocals. They are usually sang really low, due to the unimportance of the lyrics and the emphasis on the music. It's more environmental, or more about creating an atmosphere, if you know what i mean. whatever. :dizzy:
hmm. its very relaxing. riffs kinda remind me of luminous orange.

I just started listening to My Bloody Valentine. Now that I know what Shoegaze is, I can safely say that I like it.

Loveless is the only My Bloody Valentine album I've really listened to. It's good, if not sometimes disorienting.

Asobi Seksu rocks. Their music is sort of a shoegaze/dream pop combination thing. I have Citrus, but haven't heard the first album.

I like Coaltar of the Deepers, took me a while to get used to them though. It's nice to take a break from the usual stuff I listen to. They're stuff is a bit fun to listen to. Waiting For The Sunrise" sounds like a track from a Mega Man game.

Post Re: Shoegaze
So, for those who haven't heard yet, My Bloody Valentine just released their third album MBV, and you can listen to the whole thing on their Youtube channel.

I'm very impressed. This is a worthy followup to Loveless, and sounds familiar yet different from their past work, just what you'd want from a new MBV album. Somehow, the band's done the impossible and put out an album that seems to have met everyone's unreasonable expectations.

Post Re: Shoegaze
I really like shoegaze (more dreampop, I guess, but that's just splitting hairs to the non-versed) so I wonder why I haven't posted in this thread more.

Anywho, that channel has a lot of kickass shoegaze music. I'd highly recommend checking it out if you're into shoegaze or unfamiliar with the genre.
