Post Wake Up! Dodo
I used the submission system thigy, so I dont know if its somewhere else on the site or not, so sorry if it is.

This is just the intro/main riff I just figured out on the spot, Sounds right, but dont take my word for it. This is virtually my first submitted tab ever, so try not to be too harsh ^_^

s=slide
h=hammer
p=pull off

e-----------------------
B-----------------------*
G-----------------------
D-----------------------*

(tip: I'm playing from the official tab, then I'm playing your tab)

Maybe you should invest in a tuner...

Protip: don't tab songs when a band score already exists for it.

Listen to my commentary. It's a small mp3, worth the download.
SORRY TO BE THE BAD GUY HERE, but let's be honest.

Aside from the rhythm at which you probably intended for the tab to be played, and the starting note...you were off by a mile.

Listen to what you played. Listen to the song. Listen to what you played. Then listen to the song again. Does it sound different? It probably does. That's because the notes are not correct.
For future reference, when we post tabs, we generally try to do the entire song (lead, rhythm, or both) or at least as much as we can. For such a simple riff, just posting the riff under "OH HEY GUYS I GOT WAKE UP! DODO DONE" (a track that has already been officially tabbed by the score books and translated into Guitar Pro)...is a little... meh. Not that I'm knockin' you for it. Just so you know.

Suggestions:
1) Buy an electronic tuner. A decent KORG one should run you around $10-15. Use it properly, use it often.
2) Listen very very carefully to the song, going note by note. String-hit by string-hit.
3) Even if it FEEELS right, make sure you can play it along with the track, and can hear that it's precise, correct.

Sorry to be gloomy, but it's necessary.

edit: And just because you may not be pro at figuring things out "by ear", doesn't mean you should stop. By all means, keep trying and keep practicing. Not to become a professional song-tabber, but to become a better musician in general. Training your ear to figure stuff out like this is REALLY important. It'll help you write your own songs, and help you improvise solos on the fly. It's a great skill to have and develop, so don't give up on it - also, even if you see a tab that "seems" right online, don't automatically trust it. There are a ton of incorrect tabs out there, so sometimes you have to make the call.

Oh yeah about the tabs being right, i can tell right off the first 5 seconds if its right. and i use a tuner for my own stuff. its the built in chromatic in my cheap zoom505 pedal. but anyways ive been going over the my foot album this whole afternoon trying stuff by ear.
