Post subject: | March of the god BASS TAB |
Hey, me and my band have a concert next week, and im trying to throw in march of the god on our song list...the problem is that i am having trouble figuring out the bass. Can anyone help me mods, don't lock this thread, i realize there is another march of the god thread but that one deals more with the guitar tab, this thread is referring to specifically the bass portion of march of the god. |

There's a band score. You could buy it, or if not, I thought somebody was working on putting it into guitar pro. Ooooor you could learn it by ear. |

I hear Marekenshin's also kind of an ass about things he spent a good deal of money on that other people could also get but don't seem to care enough about to do so. D; Nah, I just don't have the time to score it out right now with a test on Monday and stuff. If you remind me and can wait that long, I could do it Tuesday evening. |

I guess you might have to go with the whole "come up with something that works and just do that" then. D: Sorry. |

It sounds like Jun is pretty much staying with Sawao, but with some slight variations on the verse. Too hard to tell with these laptop speakers. Here's what you should do, if you can't get the band score / get it tabbed: Follow Sawao's guitar. Try to ignore Manabe's lead, and just focus on the rhythm Sawao is playing: Hint, it's not a flat beat...it's an interesting rhythm. Hit that...then maybe add your own few notes of flair or something. :/ And don't go for Manabe's lead near the end during "YES, MORE LIGHT!" - always keep the rhythm and stay with Sawao. I assume you knew that, but just in case... |
g-------------------- d-------------------- a---5p4h5p4h5p4------ E---------------5-0--
I think this is one of the main bass riff Jun plays. Instead of playing exactly how Jun plays, it might be a whole lot easier to find out what key the songs in and play around on the scales to find something you like. |

I figured a way to isolate the bass pretty well through windows media player. If you have windows media player 11, go to the "now playing" down arrow tab, and under "enhancements" go to "graphic equalizer." When the graphic equalizer thing shows up, under the "turn off" column, click the first one, its the one that lest you fully customize the frequency levels. Turn all the frequencies to their absolute minimum, which is like -14 except for the 125 Hz Frequency, put that one at max. That isolates the bass sound fairly well. |
