I'm not disagreeing, I think you probably have better ears than I do. I just thought I'd say that if you play it with a regular Em it doesn't sound too bad either.

That's because structurally, they are very similar, hence the names. The minor 7 chord is just the extended triad. You just add the 7. Same effect, but the minor 7 just sounds more colorful.

Yeah, that's true. But I'm kindda used to tab their songs and know Sawao likes to insert some chord details, and I like it, that makes nice differences some times. Whatever... I just tried in the deep of my ear (I don't know how to say the 'internal ear' is there any other word?) to listen if a 7 was added, and I think it was.
