I agree there's a difference between whiney and lighthearted**.

See, whiney is when you start out being an asshole and a dick to someone but when they return that favour you complain about them being a dick to you.* Never once does it cross your mind that, had you butted in a different manner from the very beginning, I would not have had to return the favour. Now that I have returned the favour, a whiney person would then talk about how no one would accept me in this community.

Truth be told, I wasn't expecting much in the way of my requests, as they don't seem to be THAT popular around here or anywhere else on the internet, but I will still honor any request for a tab from any of the band scores even if my requests aren't forthcoming. In that sense, I think I'm going out of my way to not be a dick.

The evidence is there.

Well yeah, the Congressional/Corporate push for the abolition of Net Neutrality is seriously going to damage both academia and business. Not to mention that various governments around the world are trying to slip the draconian ACTA laws in without any input from the citizens of those countries.
