Yeah, I just listened to it and there are only 2 notes that are played. you're probably right with the #x#.

i played 89 at first, but i thought about all the times in every song ever that manabe does stuff that way, so decided it had to be 12x9. not only that, but there's that subtle difference in texture between the note on a lower and higher string.
