Yeah, I figured that out myself awhile ago, if you play only the the G string for these chords it sounds very Bokura-ish.

The second chord is an A major (you can choose to add the dom. 7th if you like), but the third is the most important part.

It's called a secondary dominant and what gives it that sound is the fifth of g which is a d moving chromatically down to a C# then a C natural and then a b which is the third of g and it resolves there. Normally in the key of G there would be an A minor chord but the third is raised in order to have that chromatic movement.

I'm sorry, I typed in G string on accident, I meant B string.
