Post 2017.11.08 - 2017.12.15: RETURN TO 3RD MOVEMENT! Vol. 1 Tour
http://pillows.jp/p/information/live-info/4526.html

All of the songs from PML and LB played live on tour. All of them.
And this is vol. 1, which means there will almost certainly be a vol. 2 and 3 containing the other 3rd movement albums in full. :whoa:

Can't wait for the DVDs on this one and also I hate you a little for being able to try to get tickets to this, Mafu and co. in Japan. D:<

Yep, gonna have to go to this. :shred:

Also, I can't wait to see the goods that they will sell. Maybe they'll reproduce some of the old t-shirt designs.

Is this to promote that PML deluxe version? >:[

Old t-shirts would be awesome.

JP typically views the 3rd Movement as being Lostman up through maybe OOPARTS or even Trial, but no clue what the pillows themselves plan for the remaining tours.

Pretty excited to wait and see. And for them DVDs.

Fuuuuuuuuck. Fucking all of PML + my secret dark horse favorite pillows song (THAT HOUSE)? Getting married on November 5th, my fiancee and I were originally gonna do a big Japan trip honeymoon before deciding that we wanna do something more chill instead (and save the big Japan runaround for the future). So amazingly close to trying to convince her to about-face now >_>

Congratulations on getting married, Crescent! If you can't make it to the 3rd movement tour, maybe you can come to Japan for the 30th anniversary in a couple years.

Thanks, Mafu. Yeah, had been considering that, or at least just planning the eventual Japan trip at a time they're gonna be touring. Just internally painful that I was almost there, especially since that I can pretty safely say that they are probably never play a setlist that I'd want to see more than these shows are gonna have lol.

Are those vinyl copies of PML and LB being held in the picture? I thought that no vinyl editions of the pillows' albums existed, or that, hardly any Japanese band put their music out on vinyl.

No albums have been released on vinyl. Fingers crossed that they'll release some, either for this tour or the 30th anniversary or something, though what they're holding on the poster are likely just oversized jackets for promotional purposes. I think that you'd be surprised at how many artists in Japan release on vinyl. It's becoming increasingly more common.

I would kill for some pillows vinyl. I was super lucky to snag the reissue of Sol-Fa on vinyl, it's one of my prized possessions ha

Neither the website nor the text below the image seems to make any mention of a vinyl release and the store page links to the CD on Amazon. Doing some related searching also yields nothing. They definitely look like record jackets, but they could be mockups (props) or "poster flats" for music stores, which is a specific type of advertisement that is usually double printed and exactly 12x12" (the same size as a record jacket.)

There is definitely a market for it over there but nothing like it is in the states, in Japan they're typically issued in a limited release for commemorative purposes or as collectors items. They don't really have the same climate (yet) of modern bands releasing music on vinyl as a serious physical medium.

My friend is a professional musician and I was in his studio a couple months ago. He had an over-sized version of his latest album on the shelf that looked just like what Yoko and Ueno Keiji are holding in the poster. I asked him "whoa, is that a vinyl version?", but he explained that it's just something that he uses for TV appearances, promotional stuff, ect. So yeah, that's the most likely case here. Though... I do still hope that they will announce something cool when the tour starts, or at least have some nice tour merchandise.

I never checked out the scene in America, but this sounds pretty much right about Japan. Every LP that I have purchased so far have all been limited releases. I bought one just yesterday, in fact (Okuda Tamio's new album).
