So I got these in the mail the other day, mainly for the pictures. I used Tenso to get them from Amazon JP marketplace. I'm back at school now so I can't do scans, but I managed to take some pics while I was home. Would be super interested in scans when you can make them happen. :O We should try to compile an interview database or something... |

I'm going to assume that black book has do with their recording sessions. It's interesting that they used DAW software since PML. It's also interesting that they started recording digitally since HB. |

I'm not sure, I flipped through it slowly looking at the English words and katakana, and in the first run through didn't see anything gear-related, but it's basically 15-20 interviews starting in '91 I believe, and most interviews have an album or single featured at the start so I assume there is something about those in the interview. But yeah, that chart from the magazine was really interesting. It made sense thinking that the latest albums were digitally produced, but I was surprised to see they had started with that ever since HB. I had this romanticized idea in my head I think that they did live recordings in the studio, a la the Hybrid Rainbow lesson video would suggest. |

Sorry my mistake, I actually meant the magazine and not the black book. Anyways does the magazine also show what outboard effect boxes they used as well? For some reason I can't imagine DAW plug-ins (except maybe for Line6) to emulate vintage effects very well at the band's hay day. Like that Echoplex effect used in BDM has got to be the real deal and not a plug-in. I knew about DAWs existing in the 90s , but I didn't know that the pillows would be up to date with the technology at the time. |

Any notworthy pics/graphics are in the album, so nothing about effects unfortunately, I'd have been super interested as well... |
