I kind of wish they hadn't repeated songs from the first tribute album. But I guess favorites are favorites. I like the Instant Music and Scarecrow covers. I really like it when the cover goes for a different feel or style. Right now, the Hybrid Rainbow one sounds meh.

Agreeing here, Terra. A few of these might be good enough to warrant keeping around, but I'm predicting one-time listens for a majority. Including the Hybrid Rainbow cover. Who knows though. Perhaps I'll be surprised. |

Can pretty much only parrot the above comments. Looking forward to hearing a full cover of Instant Music though. I expect it to get a bit more exciting after the intro. |

Then they played clips from ROCK AND SYMPATHY and the bands had comment videos. The big announcement was that the 25th anniversary live will take place in Tokyo Dome. Here are [url=http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/0CBA7JEN/varockpillow.zip_links]three tracks from the album[/url]. I'm not sure why it's only three tracks. Maybe whoever uploaded it messed up or something. But anyway, it's a nice sample for those of us who want to listen to the album. The tracks are White Ash's White Ash, 9mm Parabellum Bullet's Instant Music and WEAVER's Scarecrow. The covers by 9mm Parabellum Bullet and WEAVER are pretty cool and nicely done, in my opinion. Have never been able to get into White Ash because of the guy's voice, though. Hopefully we'll get the rest of it soon. (Edit) Apparently this thing is some early iTunes sampler or something. I didn't realize at the time, but the album isn't even out yet (2/26 release). Looking forward to hearing the other tracks.

I'm definitely digging this Scarecrow cover. That piano version of the solo wan't bad, either. The Instant Music cover is actually pretty good too. Definitely has some energy to it. |
