Bit over a week late, but. So, as of January 22nd, it's been fifteen years since the release of Please Mr. Lostman. Along with it classic singles the year before, I'd say that it represents the pillows' entering their prime. It's kinda strange realizing that we're now getting this far removed from the band's definitive era. As in addition to this, over the next two years, the golden trinity will be turning 15 as well. |

What's the 'golden trinity' again? PML-LB-HB or LB-HB-RH? anyway I disagree with either. For me they're consistent enough through their entire discography. (lacking a bit in the post-King Records era though) The holy trinity might as well be WI-KS-LF. Am I the only one in this? |

Golden Trinity is LB-RH-HB. PML usually isn't lumped in for various reasons, though there are prolly plenty of people who consider it as good or even better. And in no way is saying that "the PML + Golden Trinity era = the pillows' definitive albums and best music" at all equate to "everything else they've done sucks and pales in comparison". |

Was it to detract attention away from that ugly ass comma splice? DIDN'T WORK LOL |

...Are you accusing Ashinow of being Brye's alt. account? WTF bro? ![]() Ashinow posted pics of himself in here: http://www.pirouzu.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2603&start=1020 I don't remember what Brye looked like but I'm pretty sure he was a younger kid. Unless I'm misunderstanding your post... |

WI-KS-LF have some outstanding tracks, but I don't think anyone would attempt to argue they are the pillows' best albums or defining works. I'd say that overall, the albums with the highest quality are PML, LB, RH, and HB. Smile and TYMT are still pretty good as well, it's with Penalty Life that things took a turn for the worse. inb4 kool spice = elevator music analogy |
I don't think anyone would go so far as to call them their 'defining' works, but to me, they certainly do number among their very best. My 'golden trinity' would probably consist of KS-LF-PML, but that's just me. Anywho, I can't believe this album is 15 years old. |

Golden trinity is either LF-PML-LB or LB-RH-HB depending on how you look at it. |

Guys, pillows fans call it the Golden Trinity because they were 3 great albums that came out very close to each other, that follow the same 'theme' or musical structure (lol idk), and it's what introduced the pillows to most fans. It's been cemented time and time again that it's LB-RH-HB. Also, Alpaca; change your tampon. |

Fact: Living Field is not better than PML or anything in the Holy Trinity. Deal with it. Don't cry yourself to sleep on your cock shaped pillow tonight. |
