I'm just curious if anyone that's ordered from HMV or CDJapan has had any customs charges on DVDs? I guess any DVD imports from Japan in general since I just pre-ordered "WE ARE FRIENDS" and I'm buying Pied Piper go to yesterday and 916 (15th) on Friday from HMV (multibuy discount ftw.) XD

I've ordered CDs from CDJapan before. There aren't any extras customs charges. Whatever their checkout says your total is will be all that you pay.

Hmm... Well that's good... Though technically it could still happen since they're random (like having to pay them when your stuff gets delivered) but hopefully not... It does say this on CDJapan...

I will note, assuming you put your order on a credit card, your credit card company will probably add a small foreign transaction fee. I got charged 2.05 on my last order from HMV Japan.

The US tends to charge customs on stuff like alcohol and tobacco above a certain amount, jewelry, etc.

Yeah, I guess that's why the conversion rate on paypal (what I used when I pre-ordered we are friends) was about 2 bucks more than on CDJapan... I checked, and there's a fee of 3% on the card I use... Can't wait for those DVDs... :groovin: Especially Pied Piper go to yesterday, a few songs I haven't seen live on there...

Oh, didn't really catch it... Still sounds like Sawao pitched up to me... :lol: I watched 916 and the first disc of Pied Piper Go to Yesterday... :groovin: Thunder whales picnic, Paris Marie Girl, and Kanojo Wa Kyou were awesome... :shred: I wonder if they shot those DVDs in HD and rendered them to SD... The quality is great...
