Yeah, but there were enough interesting non-FLCL tidbits to make that article well worth reading. Sawao's description of his songwriting process and comments on the pixies are priceless.

That was a pretty good interview considering that it is from an anime magazine. The member information seems a tad bit familiar...

also, manabe said at the sf meet and greet it was specifically a poster in his room that inspired the name... (other people on the japanese bbs have said the same.)
