 Advice [Vocal Arrange]
So I always really loved the arrange version of Advice from the FLCL soundtrack for its craziness, but preferred the regular version for its vocals. Naturally, I thought, "I wonder what the arrange version would sound like with vocals..." First I isolated the vocal track in the original version, then synced and adjusted levels with the original. Combined it, did some final tweaking and here is the result. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1244235/Hosted% ... nge%5D.mp3

The endings kinda wreck each other, though.

 Re: Advice [Vocal Arrange]
This is sick! Man, the advice intro never gets old. I always preferred the arrangement. That was what influenced most of my fandom over FLCL - along with all the other pillows songs of course. I was disappointed to find out later that it was an arrangement done by a different guitarist. But it is still one of my favorite tracks for sure.

 Re: Advice [Vocal Arrange]
I just noticed that I had the right channel in the vox disabled when I was mixing the track, so it was playing in mono. Fixed it and updated the file.

 Re: Advice [Vocal Arrange]
Ahahaha, looks like my stereo speakers are on the wrong sides, when I first listened when it was in mono the vocals were coming out of one speaker and then the opposite sided headphone when I plugged my headphones in.

I didn't know it was done by a different guitarist. D: I always had the impression that it was Manabe playing that solo. Could you show me where you got that information? I'm sad now.

It's inside the booklet on one of the FLCL soundtracks. A guest guitarist is credited.

 Re: Advice [Vocal Arrange]
Well, he arranged it, but did he play the guitar? D: Or did he give it to Manabe to play once arranged? (My dreams live on.)

[quote="Mapleglo"]Shinkichi Mitsumune. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discography_of_FLCL[/quote]Shinkichi Mitsumune did "Rever's Edge" and the other non-pillows songs. The Advice arrangement was with Zin Yoshida. Edit: This is pretty badass It seemed a little quiet, though. And nice touch with the "This Pipe Is Mine And So Am I"

 Re: Advice [Vocal Arrange]
I just pulled out Addict again today and listened to it because of this thread. I forgot how much I liked the arranged version of this song. And Rever's edge, yeah. That's a very underrated song in the soundtrack, I think. I've always liked that song.
