Dear. God. IM. So on my way home from work today, I stopped at Tower and picked it up. As soon as I was done with dinner (it was ready when I got home), I popped this CD in. I have been totally blown away. I mean seriously, this is definitely the best release since Penalty Life. Mad bonus points go towards Jolmes for correctly predicting that Last Holiday would be the most awesome track on the album. Seriously, that song is fucking amazing. The cello in it adds a beautiful, sorrowful touch. I can't get enough of it, haha. Also, Zin Yoshida and whoever did the sound engineering deserve gold fucking stars for their amazing work this time around. The guitars are clear, but still very distorted, and everything sounds absolutely great. I can't think of a time the pillows have sounded better in the last several years. PIED PIPER: http://sharebee.com/566d7383 TEXAN DAILY LIFE (bonus DVD song): http://sharebee.com/03c992af Note: I believe this has to be the song he was referring to in the Ongaku to Hito featuring the pillows's latest US tour when he said that he was listening to the Eagles in Texas and it inspired him to go write a sort of old-school song. Enjoy. |

I too just did the "swing by tower on the way home" - a groovin' new number i'd recommend for anyone to shake and move to! not finished with the first listen yet, but wahoo, i'm liking it so far. Except that i have this completely unjustified aversion to their English songs, of which two of the not-heard-before-album's-release tracks are.... :/ |

The cd stores get it slightly early to ensure they can have it out the day of the release, and they frequently put it on the shelf the day before. ![]() I am so freaking loving this CD. I'll have lyrics romanized by the end of the evening, and get them translated within the week hopefully. |

Ah^ Too bad my area sucks for about 30 miles in all directions and would need to go to the city to get it. I wonder if it'll be on iTunes...I'd rather just get it from this rip but am still undecided. I could always get the CD too, but I know when I have it that I'll be less inclined to get it over other things. |

Nah, I mean NYC. Though now that I think about it, I can't see myself getting it there either. Yet at least. |

Thank you very much for the upload. I trust you'll put up the new Texan Daily Life song as well soon? I don't wanna burn these songs to a CD without throwing that into the mix as well hahahaha. |

oo, Texan Daily Life was a pleasant little surprise :0) i didn't really know what to expect (perhaps some more u.s. tour live clips) but it turns out its a sweet little bonus song accompanying a montage-ee pv from their time in the states, rock! And my first listen through confirms the album as a whole to be bloody solid. Even them english tracks (especially purple apple). Though on first impression i think poison rock and roll may be my least favorite track of the album. Oh, and sawao's english has greatly improved. now time to start queuing up for the sparta locals' new album |:ロ] |

Thanks Mare. Wow, Last Holiday was excellent! It's definitely one of the greatest songs they've made recently. |
