Music History Project.
well the school year is almost over, and my music history teacher decided to have a fun little project where i have to make a presentation about a band, and guess what i chose the pillows.
i need some help. I am making a video presentation, so i need information both in video form and in text form. if you guys can help me compile some interviews, (btw, youtube has taken down some videos, so if you have one on your computer, upload it to veoh.com or megavideo.com and i can download them from there without any fear of avex stealing them away) some unknown videos, really, anything that can help me make a presentation. also my presentation has to be limited to 5 minutes, but ill make two videos when im done, a 5 minute one and an extended one. Thanks guys.

Re: Music History Project.
Most of the videos still are on Youtube. They just keep getting reuploaded. We can't upload the documentaries like Walking on the Spiral, because they're way too long. Just look around Youtube and Veoh for the PVs, they are there. As for the text information, you can find most of it on the main site (pirouzu.net) or around the forums. That's where I learned about the pillows.

Do your own goddamn homework. If you want to do a report on the pillows, there is plenty of info translated and available for you without us finding shit for you. D;<

Re: Music History Project.
ok mare, shut up, all you can ever do is complain. what a god damn bitch. seriously shut up and clear the acne off yo face.
secondly i know quite a lot about the pillows, but the problem is that i need some interviews with an english speaking press conference, but avex has deleted it, ive been searching like crazy.
i actually did a search for "interview" on IM, and found a bunch of magazine scans and stuff, but im sure theres more that i don't know about.
also mare, im just requesting if people can help, im not forcing people with an iron fist and an army behind me. just stop being an annoying jerk.

Other pillows fans have helped you - you shouldn't be so averse to helping them back. And even if you're too busy to be bothered by it, don't make a big deal of your bitterness.
We wouldn't get anywhere if everyone simply kept to themselves and said "Find out yourself." You don't need to fetch links for him, just a few key words to point him in the right direction. Not a big deal.

Re: Music History Project.
Not trying to be a dick here, really, but when you try and tell people to do stuff for your stupid homework assignment instead of asking politely, you come off as an annoying dick. I'm just saying that there is enough info in translated form already for you to be able to do your report. I'd be willing to try to help out more if you were to ask me a significant amount ahead of time, but I'm currently too busy trying to finish my own semester to help you with any video translations. IM is not here to do you work for you, like I said. There's more than enough info for you to do an adequate job without asking the rest of us for favors. Grey, I know what you're saying, but seriously I don't get how you can say I'm not willing to help other fans. You've seen how much shit I upload translate for people. C'mon man, be serious.

Re: Music History Project.
first off, thank you keitaro, it will most likely have something cool for me to add to my presentation.
secondly, again mare, i dont want this to digress into an argument between you and me, im trying to get my project done which is due in two weeks, and i got the rubric a few days ago. but again im not forcing anyone to do anything for me, i'm just merely stressing that a community of fans can most likely find cooler information and videos as opposed to just one person. Im presenting a japanese band to a bunch of kids who live in texas, im want to make a presentation that does the pillows justice while at the same time trying to bridge the gap between a foreign language and who prolly don't listen to anything outside of this country with something as simple as good genuine music.
also i personally think i did ask politely, i even said thank you at the end, but its all subjective in the end isn't it.
one more thing, i never asked you for video translations, right now im looking for that san Francisco press conference video.

Re: Music History Project.
There's a link in one of the topics in this section in this forum. My beef is that in addition to being annoying in most of your previous posts, it's obvious that you haven't yet made use of what's readily available on this site before you've come asking for help from others. Generally, if you can easily find something HERE without the help of others, you should do so before asking for help. God gave us google and the forum search function for a reason. Frankly, you might as well be asking "WHAT YEAR WAS HAPPY BIVOUAC RELEASED?" because you can just as easily get the information you're looking for on your own.

aw c'mon, mare, he's the one who can judge if the material of this site is enough or not. of course it should probably be enough, but a lot of material is not just so easy to be found in the many threads this forum has.
here, Bastards, that's it for now. gotta hurry to bed.

Re: Music History Project.
http://www.calmagazine.com/med/index.htmlWhat do you know, took me about three minutes to sort through this with only using "interview" as the search term and no special conditions on the forum's search engine. Got to Channel 9 and scroll down to the pillows interview. C'mon man, seriously, don't even call me an idiot just because you're too much of a lazy prick to do your fucking research on your own.

Re: Music History Project.
wow, keitaro came through for me twice, i completely forgot about that interview. thanks dude. night. funny thing about the link you just gave me...ironically I GAVE IT TO YOU! remember tokyo bambi? viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3705
I must be going crazy...a good chunk of people are not liking the new song...and i'm going crazy over it. sure the solo is kinda generic, but still. Well i am a big ska guy, and i have listened to a lot of Madness, which is prolly where Sawao got the inspiration for this song, so maybe if you like Madness you will like this song.

I've never even heard of Madness, much less Sawao liking them. Also, yeah, those horns are Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. I'm sure Manabe wrote the actual music for the horns though, it has a sort of Nine Miles touch to it.

Well the reason i know Sawao likes Madness is because i saw an interview with the pillows and calmagazine. go to http://www.calmagazine.comgo to the music channel (channel 9) look for the pillows interview It is not the best interview by any means, but it still has some cool information in there.

Well the reason i know Sawao likes Madness is because i saw an interview with the pillows and calmagazine. go to http://www.calmagazine.comgo to the music channel (channel 9) look for the pillows interview It is not the best interview by any means, but it still has some cool information in there.
haha, I totally forgot about that interview.
you just got served. but do you see what this just proved, that there might have been something that i could have forgotten, and it could have been something cool to add to the presentation. also, im not being lazy, ive already downloaded a good chunk of PV's, started planning out how the PV's are going to fit so the presentation looks as professional as possible, and went to radio shack yesterday to get a computer mic so i can record my voice to narrate the presentation.

Re: Music History Project.
LittleBastard needs help looking for information about the pillows. He is posting this at a site dedicated to the pillows. So in a way he IS wanting us to do his homework.
Mare is not being a dick or an ass. He is basically statinG the obvious. You should also ask nicely. And Lurk Moar.

Re: Music History Project.
That interview was posted on this site for before you even joined, bud. Sorry to come off so rude, but IM isn't your homework helpers. It's one thing to ask after you've done a thorough check of the forum, which wouldn't take all that long, and another to just pop up and say OH HAI GUYZ IM DOIN SUM HOMEWERK GIVE ME SUM VIDEOS AND STUFF. Anyway. I'll stop being a dick. You do the same. Good luck with your assignment.
