A Japanese music magazine.

I have that issue of Ongaku to Hito. The magazine itself features interviews with a done of (generally indie) artists.

The big story on that one was, of course, the pillows. Had a good photoshoot with Sawao, some with him, Manabe, and Sato. And of course, an extensive interview.

I really wanted to see the pillows on the cover of some famous magazine, like SHOXX or another...
Recently, the brazilian magazine Neo Tokyo dedicated many pages for the japanese rock, and the pillows was on it.

You'll never find them on SHOXX. SHOXX just covers emo/Visual-Kei/Metal/Goth angsty music, done by people wearing too much eye-makeup.

I hate my local Kinokuniya for carrying SHOXX instead of Ongaku to Hito.

Interestingly, Rockin' on Japan NEVER mentions the pillows, despite talking about much more indie bands like VOLA and BEYONDS. It's almost as if they just ignore the pillows completely.

Sawao is always popping up hither and thither in Quip. The last two issues have had the first two parts of a a sawao & ______ conversation series (the first with some not-japanese dude and the second w/ a fellow from ellegarden if i remember correctly). The next issue of ongaku to hito is gonna have some pillows, as well as a number of other excellent band-related stuff in it, so I'll probably pick that up come next week...

He's been in 5 if not more issues of Ongaku to hito with the pillows, the predators, some random people and for Delicious, and Quip should really be called "Sawao's magazine" because he's in over half of the issues for the same stuff thats in Ongaku to hito. Not to mention a fuck ton of other mags and newspapers.

So in this current issue of ongaku to hito, not only is there some stuff with sawao (including one of him smelling a flower, and giving the camera some cool, unconcerned, i'm-a-badass-rockstar looks), some great stuff on the back horn, sambomaster, gogo7188, etc, but also a decently sized article on manabe, about his past and such - including two pictures of him rocking out back when he was about 18. And there's a review of the latest nine miles. The reviewer offered a lot of comments relativly un-related to the music (apparently manabe's english accent sounds jamaican), but at least he liked it.

Oh yes, and near the back of the magazine there's a 'polaroids and aftershows' section with a polaroid of sawao on which he wrote approximately this:
