I'm amazed at how inspiration Yamanaka drew from in his new album. And yes, "SCARECROW" is based off of the Pachino/Hackman flick of the same name :D!

"JaME" bothers me. They should have called it "JME." Hell, what's the "E" even stand for? Anyway, thanks for the link. Sawao follows the obvious and predictable route saying that he favors his latest work. He always says that. Do you guys think he's honest or that he's just trying to promote his latest stuff?

Edit: Cut for lack of relevance.

Edit 2: Re: Propose - I always knew there was some underlying homoeroticism going on with these guys...

Well, at the show, when the girls were telling Yamaka he looked cute, he laughed and said "Manabe-kun knows best how cute I am," to which Manabe laughed and gave a thumbs up to the crowd. lol.

Really nice to see Yamanaka's reasoning behind each of the songs! It's cool to get a bit more than the standard short interview where you just hear the same things every time.

"I’d like all of you who are fed up with the recent music to listen to this album."

lolol

Great interview. Thanks Omnistry.

Remember that the translator is a Japanese guy and the phrasing makes Sawao sound hella douchey/retarded and sometimes makes things a little wierd.

Great interview. I lol'd at Sawao saying the guitar solo in Century Creepers will "make you cry".

Excellent find, omnistry!

- Wow, Sawao is REALLY a movie-buff.
- YOUNGSTER: Manabe plays clean guitar with tense chords and I play the solo with octave fuzz (a sound effect), the cute synthesizer-like sound is featured by the playful rhythm, it’s got character, doesn't it?
Uh, are we talking about the same song?
- Yamanaka: Currently the single SCARECROW and the album Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!, because I like our latest work.
YEAH, BULLSHIT.
- Serious Plan: It’s my favourite song from the album. I’m in charge of the whistle, too!
I friggin' lol'd.
- The story behind the name "Century Creepers (Voice of the Proteus)" is so cool.

I think this is supposed to be some sort of insult. I'm not quite sure.
It seems like you're even bored with your own pillows-bashing... maybe it's time to find a new hobby.

I'm not entirely sure.
What did you mean by: the pure emotion comes through even not understanding, so don't worry.

merely stating a belief most listeners of japanese music seem to share
the pure emotion comes through even not understanding, so don't worry.
 what does that mean?
At first I was told that the song wasn’t able to be used because of the cracked sound. Though, it got better and better after I sang it many times. But then I couldn’t keep the tension and emotion I first had, so we decided to use the first take anyway, even though the sound wasn’t clear enough.
Damn. I want to hear the alternate takes. The pillows are getting more popular...Think maybe we could hear bootlegs some day? Are bootlegs common in Japan? I've heard there are at least 3,000 bootlegs of The Beatles, some live, alternate takes, remixes, etc.

I think what he means is that this "belief" doesn't make sense in the English language - as you stated it, at least.

Actually that does sound familiar. But it's not exclusive to pillows fans:
