I know some of us dont like Sawao. But one question I always ask myself is. What would the pillows have been like without Sawao? I mean from the begining, if he was never in the band. thoughts? |

Kenji would have probably taken the full leader position, maybe actually sing, but he probably would have droped the band very early, unlike sawao, who's been driving this train so far to its limits and even more loyaly for the past 16 years. |

If Sawao was never in the band, then the pillows would probably not exist, therefor this forum wouldn't exist, and your question would not exist. So by asking that question you have just made the space-time continuum collapse in on itself. And I thought some of us hated Jun, not Sawao. |

I think the buffet would have still been made because i think it's history is immutable, but IM would be W! and it'd be about weezer. And I thinik we'd be fighting about the latest release of theirs instead of the pillows. In short, not much would have changed. I guess no one could make fun of glorious nippon kudesai~ either. |

Sawao, for better or worse, is pretty much the driving force behind the band. We would never have known about the pillows in the first place if not for him, so I'm willing to cut him some slack for the lower quality stuff over the past few years. Weezer is one of the most overrated bands ever. Even the two "good" albums bore me, after I gave them many listens. "the buffet" is also highly overrated and serves no real purpose, sort of like American Idol. |
