so i came across this interview today: [url=http://youtube.com/watch?v=29Q_rURycHg]Part 1[/url] [url=http://youtube.com/watch?v=c1uM0kEd8ww]Part 2[/url] i guess it's from some tv show called "Roots of My Music" in which Sawao talks about his influences, mainly Simon and Garfunkel. anybody know more about this, like when it was from? i'm guessing pretty recent since it shows clips from the Hybrid Innocent tour. but it's subtitled in japanese, so anyone want to translate it?

i just watched part of the first one. they didn't subtitle everything, unfortunately, but i could probably find time to work on this at some point in the near future, especially if i get bugged about it at a time when i'm bored lol. |

It's obviously fairly recent. One of the concert clips is dated Nov 5th (Or is that May 10th) 2006. He said, "Good morning everyone. I am the pillows vocalist Sawao Yamanaka, thank you." Sorry that's all I got. |

Just stumbled upon those yesterday too, pretty sodding awesome. I'd consider betting a finger that someone will change there display pic to schoolgirl-sawao sometime soon. The information about his music background, in school and whatnot is really neat to hear too, I definitely need to give it a few more listens with dictionary in hand. |

well i was able to translate some of it interviewee: when did you decide to make bad music sawao: right after tymt interviewee: not that bright of a decision... sawao: well, it's worked out pretty well (both laugh) |
