Okay, please bear with me. This is a link to a Smiths video. I know that some of you may not be into this kind of music (new wave, and stuff) but try watching this and tell me what Pillows video this reminds you of.

[size=75]I was reminded of this video the first time that I saw Tiny Boat ~~ yeah, maybe it's just the wharf, or Sawao's hair, but I was just struck by the similarities. Were the Pillows influenced by the Smiths, or Morrissey? I've been wondering about that, especially when I listened to older stuff from the Pillows, like Ki ni Shitenai Yo. What do you think?[/size]

Their earlier stuff shares quite a few musical qualities with the Smiths, I think, so it's entirely possible.

The song reminds me of Ano Hi to Onaji Sora no Shita de from the Special CD, but the video does remind me of Tiny Boat. :wink:
