Post subject:  Good Dreams Tour T-Shirt: Translation

I was at an International Student Association meeting, and they have a lot of Japanese students. I wore this shirt:

For over a year no one was able to translate it. Finally one of the students was able to. It says: "The only dream left is the one forgotten".

My quest has ended.

yea... it at least has to do with something about "I've forgotten (it). my dream" (wasurenareta. boku no yume)... although "The only dream left is the one forgotten" sounds really kool. =D

wasurerareta is past tense of wasurareru, which is "to be forgotten," a passive tense, so wasurerareta is "(it) was forgotten." In this case, what was forgotten? "boku no yume." "wasurerareta boku no yume," or "my dream was forgotten."

The next line is "boku igai no dare ga mireru," which is literally "Besides myself, who can see?" I did most of Good Dreams (the song, not the album lol) last fall, but got stuck on a few parts, and never finished. Haha.

listen to the japanese man!
