man. i finally watched the video for one life. it makes me wonder, what happened in sawao's life that allowed him to be able to write a song like that?

this is one of the songs that i see and just have to sit back and think. the lyrics are beautiful by themselves. add the music, and you get a pretty clear tone. but when i watched the video, it really hit me. this seems to be a recurring theme in the music sawao writes: life came along, and no matter where he ends up, he lived it, and somebody touched him in such a way that he can never ever forget them. and it's a theme that we can all relate to because we've all met somebody, or will meet somebody that will change our lives forever, and cause us to compose, if nowhere else than in our hearts, songs like Strange Chameleon, One Life, Our Love and Peace. It's song's like these that make me listen to music.

That someone had to be somebody named Patricia or something pretty damn close. That's what all of Little Busters (I think) is about. Notice: Both One Life and Patricia on it, and more beautiful love songs. My opinions on their albums have changed, Little Busters is a tie between Please Mr. Lostman.

One LIfe is EASILY one of their best songs ever. Music. Lyrics. Video.
the lyrics are beautiful by themselves.
When I read the translated lyrics from One Life, it was so beautiful. This is why I got the "One Life" tattoo on my arm. I put it upside down so that only I could read it. It's a reminder of the most beautiful song that I've ever heard in my life. Those lyrics are so powerful.

I know that might sound corny but it's true. I'm glad that I got to show Sawao and Manabe it. At first Manabe thought it was just shooting stars on my arm. Then he realized that it was "One Life". He jumped in surprise and touched it to see if it was real. One of the best moments of my life.

God. I love the pillows and I'm glad to be part of this forum.

No one's mentioned how awesome it is live.

It's great live, sans the new ending.

The old ending is better, but the song itself still made me cream my jeans.

Although I haven't seen anyone agree with me so far, I really don't mind the new ending. :X

i think it's okay, but the original ending, in my opinion, fits better with the song. i guess maybe it's because in a live, you want a bit more energy or something.

One Life is probably my absolute favorite song by the band. It's totally flawless in every way- lyrics, music, PV, etc. And Patricia is probably number two, period.

Little Busters is easily my favorite pillows album, and I've never thought it got enough credit. The whole album flows incredibly well and sounds consistent throughout. It helps that it has no bad songs (though I am tired of Hybrid Rainbow, Blues Drive Monster, and Little Busters.)

I've always had a hunch it has something to do with some "Ninny" character Sawao keeps mentioning in his music. Some examples that come to mind off the top of my head is the song "Ninny" (duh) and in that predators song "Lizard man" (he mentions a girl named ninny). Might be some reference to a girl, might be his favorite name, might be some chaplin thing.

Bleh, but about sawao lately, he's not really emo about anything anymore, he's more.... Confident. :|

regardless, One Life's the shit.

that's true. sayonara universe and my girl (document) don't have quite as much of a pleading sound to them. although the my girl (fiction) is very "emo." it seems that more of their songs lately have been "fun" and less "serious."

You can't forget about "Nowhere" on LB. It's one of my favorite songs and is also very beautiful. When Sawao played it on the acoustic on that one video he had that one girl tearing up, now that's called emotional.
