The members of that board are almost as stupid as the insipid mainstream "J-Rock" they listen to. I don't think the Post-HB stuff is all fantastic, but there are some great songs in there. From 1990 until 1999, the pillows had an amazing run; in my opinion, EVERY album was amazing. Whoever said "Runnerz High is T3H BEST!!@1!1!`!!!!!" is simply an idiot. I like the second half or so of this album, but personally, I think it's easily the weakest thing they put out up to that point.
I've never heard anything like the pillows' early work; combining 50's and 60's rock with alternative music, pop, and jazz (between '93 and '95), they developed an utterly unique and original sound that blows their pathetic arguments out of the water. Of course, the two or three die-hard haters aren't going to be convinced; they've already make up their minds to be imbiciles. You could argue that Penalty Life or Good Dreams or whatever are unoriginal, but those don't hold a candle to the early stuff, anyway. From their goofy outfits to the distinctive musical style, I've never heard anything like Moon Gold or White Incarnation. Their ability to change stylistically but retain their identity is a strength, not a weakness.
The early stuff (from Pantomime to Living Field) is easily the most difficult to digest, but it's worth the effort. Great musicianship and unique style really make this music stand out to me, but of course, the visual kei obsessed nimrods on "J-Revolution" aren't going to understand.
