Shirt I plan to make - feedback? (and question)
Well since the shirts that are going to be sold aren't so good, and someone mentioned that the band likes when people make custom stuff, I figured I'd make a shirt and bring it in to be signed at the NYC show. It's based on Waiting at the Bus Stop.
But I hadn't heard of the pillows when Smile came out, so this shirt might end up being exactly like one sold during the Smile tour... so if someone could let me know if it's similar to any old ones, I'd appreciate it.
Please tell me if it sucks, I'm a graphics noob and would like to know if it's really that bad.

Feedback is really really appreciated.

getting rid of the sign was a good choice.

The second one is better. It looks to me like the "waiting" isn't exactly alligned with the other words (maybe that was on purpose, I don't know).
You can look at the Smile tour goods on their official website, by the way.

Thanks - I never knew you could see all the past goods too. I think I'm going to have this shirt made tomorrow, or sometime really soon.
Now that I look for it, I see the misalignment too, but I don't think it's enough to warrant a change.

Be sure to consider that the image will end up being printed, too. Especially if you're a graphics n00b, you should plan ahead to make it high-resolution, unless you're drawing it in a vector program like Illustrator. In which case you're okay, and did it right from the start.
Feedback? Um...it's not a bad design. Could use some color. The text is kind of lackluster, but I'm also a font freak, so take that as you will.
Also, there are some light cream-colored splotchy shapes around the picture. Maybe not too noticeable, and I dunno if they were intentional, but they kinda keep it from looking sharp and clean to my eyes.

Vector program? I'm pretty sure what I used wasn't a vecotr program, from seeing what I found about vectors in Wikipedia.
Yeah, I just wanted to go for something simple, I wanted to go with b&w from the start.
And after staring at the picture for 10 minutes straight, I can't see the splotches...

Mmm. Well, when things made on a computer get transferred to print, often times they don't scale up well unless they're vector art. Images can get all pixellated and stuff.
As for the splotches...

Outlined and stuff to enhance their visibility.

Here's a real design that was posted a while back...

If it was "hi-res"-ed it would make an aweosme hoodie.

That would be a cinch to replicate.
If enough people so desire, I can do that in about an hour, if not less.
