I only saw the top left corner when the page was loading, and thought it looked awesome. Then I saw the FLCL reference...

 :X :dizzy: >:[  >:[

...in that order.

I somehow picture "Living Incarnation" as a bunch of Pillows songs covered by the Noodles... :o

Eh I don't think there's anything wrong with being introduced to The Pillows through FLCL, but... uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh *head explodes*

No, there's nothing wrong with it, but it's a little obnoxious when the Pillows are constantly associated with FLCL (and anime in general) when in reality that was a relatively small part of their careers.

I'm not sure why there's so much hate towards the FLCL picture. I know that too many people only focus on their FLCL songs, and maybe people think that it's too common for fans to hear of the band through FLCL. I don't think that changes the fact that the picture is aesthetically pleasing though, and I don't harbor any hate towards the creator for choosing it.

Then again, I don't agree with the sentiment that FLCL is bad for exposing more people to the pillows. Sure, they should branch out to hear more of the band's music, but thats something that we as fellow fans can help them accomplish. The wallpaper has an incorrect discrography, which is a problem, but the flcl part is no sin in my book. :eh:

Indeed. I thought FLCL was great, and that it was a fantastic choice use the pillows for its soundtrack. The whole problem pillows fans have with it is when viewers choose to say "The pillows are my favorite band" right after seeing FLCL, and make no attempt whatsoever of learning more about the band. If people would just try to go deeper than ROSS and Carnival (instrumental), the fanbase would be a much better place.
