japan has a separate iTunes service. i think you have to have a valid credit card with a billing address in japan to use it.

This is very cool.
You can't buy songs from iTunes Japan without a Japanese credit card, but you can listen to high quality samples of every song available on iTunes, even if you don't have an account.

Bump for a small bit of news. the pillows have their page up on iTunes, but all that's there right now is The third eye single. They might add more of their earlier discography in the future, and maybe even some iTunes Original tracks like they do with US bands...

*For that link to work you need to have iTunes installed, and you probably also have to set the store to Japan before you click it.

On the Music Store homepage, scroll down to the bottom and you'll see a pull-down menu that says "Choose Country:".

My Foot is up in the store. The song clips sound pretty cool.

Of course, it's hard to tell how good songs are by mere samples...but I'm really liking Gazelle City, and Rock 'n' Roll Sinners. Sinner's looks to be some good English rockin: "I want freedom to do what I want"
