Despite what some people may say, I believe that the pillows are getting exceptionally better in the creation of new music. I kept in mind that the pillows are consently experimenting and chalangeing them selves to go beyond the envelope. I would never judge thier creative decisions, perhaps critque them honestly in my heart of hearts but never judge. For they are the creators and untill we create something to challange thier music we really don't have a say in where they choose to go musically. However do keep in mind that my critique of thier music is almost spaciously non exsistent. Their songs rangeing from amazing to really good to good and not as good. I don't hate any pillows song with exception of a few mini albums I have not heard yet. So I was honestly shocked at how excellent and complete Good Dreams was. I honestly can not decide what their best album is. However part of me was sad because I began to think that there might be no way they could top Good Dreams. As result it would be down hill for the pillows? Most Likely not, but the doubt was still there and remained untill I Listened to Non Fiction. For the moment forget about Heart is there and My girl. Most likely those two won't be on the album (mabey my girl will be on it in a different Version). Non-Fiction in esscence sounds swinggy and popy but if you listen to it closely youll notice how deep this fantastic song goes. First the song is completley intact, there are no loose guitars, drumming or bass. Every note is hit for a exact reason, even the chaotic crashing melody midway through the song is perfect. Also the style and sound is really unlike anything they have ever done before nor anyone else. And thats whats really important here: the bold execution into uncharted music. Going where no muscians have gone before. What they did in Non Fiction they were talking about in another great song on Good Dreams called FRONTIERS. The pillows are going beyond the contemporary imagination of music and honestly im not sure if are world is ready for this leap in the revolution of sound itself. So my question to you is who is ready rock, and believe in this renisance of the heart, mind and soul. To step out of the frame were in and go after something pure that just waiting for us, we need only sieze it. The pillows are already doing thier part and if every song on this next album is put together with the same kind of care we won't just have a great album we will have a great life. I only wish this album could be released in America so that its roots would change and heal are society and pollitical system as music did long ago in the 60's. That is only a dream but one possible in the far distance. Thats is all I wanted say is, be prepared for something good and do not be afraid to accept it. Thank you. Please ponder and dialogue what I said. |

[quote="clouds drive monster"]You guys are craaaaaaaazy XD[/quote] Yeah. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I think you're probably the only one here who ever thought Good Dreams couldn't be topped. I also don't think the music's "roots would heal 'are' society and 'pollitical' system." ![]() |

I think that due to their realization of a growing fanbase (i.e.: us), the pillows are going to be working hard on their new album. Trust me when I say that the next album's gonna be big. [size=200]REAL BIG![/size] |

[catfish] man [catfish] that guy on IM, [catfish] I feel so bad for him. [catfish] he spent so much time on that little essay. [catfish] I can just imagine him hunched before a computer monitor, [catfish] invigorated by some middle school english teacher's congratulatory comments on his paper about to kill a mockingbird, [catfish] driven by the ignorance and enthusiasm that only a misguided youth can possess. [catfish] He's listening to yellowcard and the flcl soundtrack. [catfish] Pounding on his keys, he pauses to read his masterpiece and sip his mountain dew. [catfish] "This is really great" he muses. [catfish] "the guys on IM will find this relevant, and maybe it will even change their minds!" [catfish] through his incoherent, fumbling attempt at composition, he hopes to gain the respect of his E-peers. [catfish] His giddy hands move the mouse. [catfish] the cursor floats over the "submit" button. [catfish] He remembers his parents' blind praise of his scholastic follies. [catfish] You see, in his mind, he really does believe he is able to write. [catfish] Emboldened by positive reviews form his intellectually bankrupt friends, he hits the button. [catfish] "submit" [catfish] "time to wait for the accolades and cheers of support." [catfish] but no [catfish] The Icy heart of IM doesn't break out the hand-jobs [catfish] instead [catfish] their favorite activity. Public scorn. [catfish] "Please ponder and dialogue what I said." |
