Great article.. REFRAIN FROM USING THE PICTURES WITHOUT PERMISSION. and yea.. this broke my heart..
During their set I spied quite a few amusing observations from other bands' members. Sawao Yamanaka was chilling in the back booths with a Japanese girl in each arm, his glass of red wine on the table. I guess being the vocalist in a rock band still has its perks.
Well, he is a 36 year old single man and he's a rock star to boot. As much as some girls would like to think that their favortie rocker would be above that sort of thing they are still men and are only as celabate as their options would force them to be. Him being in the postion that he is in means his options to get women are pretty vast. It's nieve to think that he doesn't "go there" from time to time.

Anyway, good article, thanks. I hadn't seen this before.

I know what you're talking about!! I've got this show on MP3 (I think I soulseeked it from tehz). But we were just as bad at the Knitting Factory; but Sawao gave in to "Kim Deal" for a line or two. That was wicked funny.

I still like at the KF show when it shows that quote again, what sawao said about music, and you hear some guy scream "ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!!"

I shouted "ROCK & ROLL!!!" when Noodles hit the stage.

it was better at Acen. Sawao was like "You want to hear good music. I'll play you good music" Or something along those lines. It's directly quoted in my LJ.

yeah no he said that at KF too. He said like "i believe music has no borders, no race, good music is good music. And i will play good music for you!" and stuff and it shows him in the concert saying that, then at the end it just shows the words and you hear sawao and you can hear the guy again screaming "ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!"
