I haven't seen a pic or video of him smoking. Then through a lot of Walkin' on the Spiral Shin-chan and Manabe are both smoking and Sawao gives both of them a light during the Please Mr. Lostman little video and he doesn't light one up for himself. I'm guess he doesn't smoke, but doesn't like to brush his teeth 'cuz of all the silver in his mouth.

yeah i dont think he smokes either..he needs to get himself one of these baby's

Most signs point to "no". In San Francisco I saw Shinichiro, Manabe, and Jun smoking, but no Sawao.

No, he does not smoke. It's already been discussed. As Mellie said, when Sawao was in his gangster movie, he was smoking but very much so like someone who had never smoked before.

I'm pretty darn sure I read about it in Flyp's account of his magical night and that he saw Sawao smoking.. believe me, I argued about it in the pillows room cuz smoking was his worst turn-off.

until someone verifies this, let's just say he doesn't smoke..

I think Yamanaka wants to expireience what's smoking like. I'm not trying to say that Shin-chan and Pee-chan are forcing him to smoke. Sawao probaly wants to know why they smoke?

I know why Pee-chan smoke is because he gets nerves when performing live. And some people neeed to smoke to calm down their nerves that's probaly why Pee-chan smokes and he gets more concentration playing on guitar. I don't know why Shin-chan smokes it maybe its his nerves too

As for sawao goes his voice is changing a little and I don't think the reason why is he has yellow teeth is because he smokes. How could you possibly know that he smokes? I mean watching films of him with a liter dosen't mean he smokes. We may never know what he does by himself when he is a ALONE that's what really is important! To me I don't think there's a conclusion to this at all. unless you live in japan and you are related to sawao and his brother. And I don't think sawao's brother smoke but I could be wrong you know.

Anyone see his fillings in Kanojo wa Kyou...? Just a hunch.

I wish I could. But I have never met the pillows in person. I just know these things

actually my dad told me about why lead guitarist smoke it's because their nerves. And I believe him.

my dad told me that Santa was real so i believed him.




Maybe Manabe just needs a cig after making intense love to his guitar.
